New strategic partnership at the University of Miskolc

We are pleased to inform that a cooperation agreement in the field of geothermal energy and deep drilling has been signed between the University of Miskolc, of which we are the official representative, and Rotaqua Kft.

This strategic cooperation, concluded between the Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences of the University of Miskolc and Rotaqua Kft., a company operating in the field of deep drilling and geothermal research in Hungary, aims to connect the university’s scientific and educational potential in geothermal energy research and deep drilling with industrial experience and to provide students with practical experience in a real working environment.

For information purposes, it should be noted that the partner company Rotaqua Kft. was established in 1990 on the basis of the Exploration and Deep Drilling Division of the Mecsek Ore Mining Company (MÉV) of Hungary and is known for its activities in the field of deep drilling and geological research. The company’s roots date back to 1955. Currently, being state-owned, it continues its operations in the strategic sector.

Rotaqua Kft. provides a wide range of services including the completion of geothermal wells, geological structural research drilling works, deep drilling programs for the disposal of nuclear waste, as well as environmental and geotechnical drilling works. The company has more than 20 modern drilling rigs and a team of highly qualified specialists.

This cooperation will provide students of the University of Miskolc with a strong platform to gain real industrial experience and high-level professional knowledge, and will also make a significant contribution to their better-prepared integration into the labor market.
